Wide Coverage for Wireless Broadband
With the roll out of Telstra's 4G network in Australia, Telstra Mobile Broadband customers in 4G coverage areas can access typical download speeds from 2Mbps to 40Mbps and upload speeds from 1Mbps to 10Mbps. 4G speeds are available in all capital CBDs (meaning within 5km from the GPO), associated airports and selected regional areas (within 3km of the regional town centre).
When you’re not in a 4G area, these modems (below) automatically switch you to Telstra's Next G 3G network. Outside 4G coverage areas, you can access 3G speeds ranging from 1.1Mbps - 20Mbps which are available in all capital CBDs and much of the associated metropolitan areas and many regional and other location.
No Excess Usage Fees
With each BigPond Wireless plan, your speed is slowed to 64kbps when you exceed your monthly usage allowance.
Your Downloads and Uploads - Uploads are Counted
The data that you download and upload by viewing websites (including sending and receiving email) is counted in your monthly usage allowance.

Installation of the USB modem is generally quick and easy. The installation uses a simple connection software which manages your connection with the modem. The software comes on an easy to use set up CD.

Email Account(s)
BigPond membership includes 1 email address and mailbox. You can choose your own BigPond email address (as long as it's available). There is 20MB of mail storage space and each additional mailbox costs $1 per month with up to 15 available.
You can access all webmail services like Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo email through your browser as you would normally, and access their POP / IMAP features if you use those.
